Flex2000 is a company specializing in flexible polyurethane foams and comfort systems produced in pocket springs, committed to being a benchmark organization in its areas of activity for the quality of our products and services and for our dedication to sustainability, applying practices that drive economic, environmental, and social progress for the benefit of current and future generations and surrounding communities. We work continuously to ensure that our operations are responsible and actively contribute to a sustainable and prosperous society. To achieve this, we apply continuous improvement, innovation, and the development of a sustainable business with corporate values intended to ensure customer and stakeholder satisfaction. To meet these goals, we have an integrated management system in the following areas: Gestão de Qualidade segundo a IATF 16949:2016 e a ISO 9001:2015

  • Environmental Management according to ISO 14001:2015
  • Safety Management according to ISO 45001:2018

  • Safety and Major Accident Prevention Management according to the SEVESO Directive
For the sustainable development of the organization, the following management principles are foreseen:

  • Establish measurable sustainability goals and monitor our performance through key indicators.
  • Through the annual sustainability report, we will communicate sustainability goals, initiatives, and progress to our employees, customers, suppliers, and authorities.
  • Invest in research and development to find innovative solutions to sustainability challenges in our areas of activity.
  • Flex2000 management views sustainability as an important activity in the development of our business, continually assessing the effective return on the application of these internal actions that support sustainability at Flex2000.
EFFICIENCY
  • Prevent failures with the goal of zero quality defects, minimize occupational risks, reduce the risk of major accidents, and limit environmental damage.
  • Promote continuous improvement, seeking to continuously improve technical and human resources, thus enabling the continuity and growth of the company through the innovation and development of our processes and products.
  • Manufacture high-quality products that are safe, durable, and designed for prolonged use, thus reducing waste and promoting a circular economy.

  • Minimize waste production and prioritize waste recovery, ensuring that the remainder is properly disposed of.

  • Minimize the environmental footprint of our operations, focusing on resource conservation and responsible waste management.

PREVENTION OF MAJOR ACCIDENTS Flex2000's fundamental concern is to ensure the best safety conditions for its employees, minimize risks to the surrounding environment and community, and preserve its facilities and equipment.
As a complement to these guidelines and under the PPAG scope, Flex2000 commits to the following:
  • Comply with all regulatory provisions and ISOPA guidelines as an effective means of Major Accident Prevention.
  • Ensure continuous and sustained improvement of working conditions, prevention/control of Occupational Risks, Major Accident Risks, and employee health surveillance, fully complying with all current legislation and other subscribed requirements regarding Safety, Health, Environment, and Major Accident Prevention involving Hazardous Substances, including ISOPA recommendations.
  • Identify, evaluate, monitor, and control all sources of risk involving Hazardous Substances in its operations and new projects under normal operating conditions and modifications likely to affect control.
  • Provide the necessary human, equipment, and financial resources to comply with the SGSPAG, appropriate to the identified hazards, defining roles, responsibilities, and competencies, and promoting the information and/or training of internal employees, suppliers, service providers, and other interested parties.
  • Implement maintenance and operational procedures that ensure the safe operation of equipment, facilities, and processes relevant to Major Accident Prevention involving Hazardous Substances.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of all prevention systems, particularly SGSPAG, through the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of compliance.
  • Establish Emergency Planning and Management through the operationalization of the Internal Emergency Plan in line with and applicable to actual risk situations, as well as its coordination with the External Emergency Plan.
  • Periodically review the SGSPAG, considering input from employees and other stakeholders, system performance results, and acquired experience, ensuring that it remains current, functional, and effective.

All employees are responsible for adhering to and promoting this policy within their functions. The Management leads and guarantees its commitment to the objectives and requirements of the Management System, providing all the necessary human, technical, and economic resources to achieve them and ensuring their successful implementation. This policy will be periodically reviewed to ensure its relevance and effectiveness and will be adapted as necessary to address changing circumstances, technological advances, and emerging best practices.
